Funding from the EU and Colchester Borough Council mean that Colchester’s growing creative and digital sector now have their own website to promote their work and show off the wealth of creative talent in the borough. www.creativecolchester.org.uk is intended as a platform for people in the creative, cultural and digital sector in Colchester, to promote jobs, opportunities and events in the area.

Local web developers This Is Fever were appointed to design the website in conjunction with input from the Creative Colchester partnership.

Councillor Mark Cory, Leader of Colchester Borough Council, said: “The new Creative Colchester website provides a great opportunity to present Colchester as a place where there are highly skilled creative people and businesses and a thriving creative economy. It is also a hugely useful portal for local businesses to promote joint working and recruitment opportunities within the Borough.”

Ben Green, MD of Fever, added: “We were thrilled to have been selected to develop the brand and website for Creative Colchester. It really puts Colchester on the national map as a destination for creative services and opportunities. It will help drive growth in the local economy, as well as ensure we attract and retain talent and skills.”

Colchester Borough Council is a partner on the South East Creative Cultural and Digital (SECCADS) programme, which provides grant funding and business support programmes to creative businesses and organisations across Essex, Kent and East Sussex.
