Colchester Castle’s Resident Pass is celebrating its one-year anniversary. During the past year many Colcestrians have taken advantage of the new membership scheme which gives unlimited entry to the Castle and its exhibitions for one calendar year, all for the price of standard Castle admission.

The Resident Pass offers fantastic value for money and costs just £10 for an adult, £5.25 for children and concessions and £6.75 for students.

For families the Resident Pass offers a great opportunity to enjoy the Castle’s range of children’s events that run throughout the year at the Castle, including the already much talked about Planetarium event during May half term.

From just £27 for two adults and two children, or £23 for one adult and three children or two adults and one child, families can enjoy hands-on activities, interactive exhibits and entry to member only events, making school holidays a breeze for a whole year!

Councillor Mark Cory, Leader of Colchester Borough Council, said: “We have been thrilled with the support that locals have given to our new Resident Pass scheme. The team at the Castle have enjoyed welcoming many new visitors and look forward to welcoming many more over the years to come.

“The Resident Pass offers tremendous value for money and with the Castle’s new exhibition, Adorn: Jewellery, The Human Story opening later this summer, there is never a better time to pick up a Resident Pass. Find out more at www.cimuseums.org.uk/residentpass and love Colchester Castle!

“We are celebrating our heritage more in Colchester now, ensuring we bring in visitors, but also for local residents to enjoy the great history on offer in their Borough.”
