Colchester Museums are offering local residents the chance to WIN a year's FREE entry to Colchester Castle to celebrate the success of its NEW Resident Pass.
Earlier this year Colchester Castle launched a new membership scheme for Colchester Borough Council residents called the Resident Pass, enabling residents to visit the Castle as many times as they like during a year, for FREE, after paying once for standard Castle admission.
The Resident Pass offers fantastic value for money and costs just £9.95 for adults, £6.50 for students and £4.95 for children and concessions.
To celebrate the success of the scheme, which has already seen over 2,083 residents purchase a Resident Pass, Colchester Museums are offering four lucky Colchester residents the opportunity to WIN their very own Resident Pass for a year.
To be in with the chance of winning one of these terrific prizes all that you need to do is like the Colchester Museums Facebook page and share your best picture or artwork of Colchester Castle along with the accompanying hashtags #LoveColchesterCastle #ResidentPass. It's that simple! The competition will be judged by representatives from Colchester Castle and Cllr Tim Young.
Councillor Tim Young, Deputy Leader of the Council and Portfolio Holder for Business and Culture said: “This is a great opportunity to get together and celebrate one of Colchester's finest historic attractions. How many locals have walked past and admired the Castle but never stepped across the ancient threshold and discovered what lies within?
“The Castle is now a thriving, modern museum complete with interactive exhibits and family-friendly displays ready to take you on a journey uncovering over 2,000 years of history.
“Help us spread the word about this ancient monument and who knows you could be one of the lucky four to WIN a Resident Pass for the year. The competition runs from 09.00 on Monday 17 September 2018 until 23.59 Monday 8 October and you must live in the Borough of Colchester to enter.
Winners will be announced on Monday, 15 October 2018.
