Local Plan Committee

Following the Council’s Local Plan Committee on 22 July, we are progressing with the next stage of examining the strategic Section 1 of the emerging Local Plan which has been prepared alongside Braintree and Tendring Councils.  This next stage involves the three authorities undertaking a technical consultation on the Additional Sustainability Appraisal, additional evidence base and the suggested amendments to Section 1 which will run until 5pm on Monday 30 September. The Inspector has produced an Explanatory Note (IED016) which explains the purpose of the consultation within the context of his examination of the shared Plan.

In anticipation of the Local Plan Committee meeting on 22 July, the Council has published the committee report which will accompany the revised evidence base, Additional Sustainability Appraisal and proposed amendments to the Local Plan. The committee report provides background information on the Local Plan process to date and includes summaries of the recently published documents.

The committee report is available to view as part of the agenda for the Local Plan Committee
