Colchester Borough Council is monitoring the situation closely and will continue to take action to minimise disruption and keep residents and visitors safe.
Coronavirus: updates, advice and guidance
For 2020-21, all Colchester Borough Councillors are allotted a Locality Budget of £2000.00 each.
Councillors can use their budget to initiate or support community projects or services. The budgets can be used for projects within a Councillor’s Ward, or otherwise for project which their constituents will benefit from. This year the money is available early, to provide local councillors with a means to help their communities with COVID-19 related challenges.
Councillors welcome contact from community groups; if you have a project that would benefit from funding support, please find contact details of your local Ward Councillors.
The deadline for 2020-21 Locality Budget applications is Sunday 31st January 2021.
A summary of expenditure from the Locality Budget will be published on this page throughout the year. This will include current details of proposals, commitments and actual expenditure by each Councillor.
