Winter support and coronavirus (COVID-19) guidance

Colchester Borough Council is providing support for residents, businesses, and communities throughout winter. The government has announced that England will move to Plan B in response to the risks of the Omicron variant. Check the guidance on GOV.UK for what this means for you.

Thanks to our existing litter warriors we have been able to further preserve our environment. It is also a great way to bring families, friends and neighbours together, and to maintain pride in our local neighbourhood.

We will provide you with your own hi-vis jacket bearing the ‘litter warriors’ logo and all the necessary litter picking equipment, including bags which will be collected when you’re finished.

Registered Litter Warriors are also able to request gloves and garden sacks to allow them to tackle weeding whilst out and about litter picking.

Litter warriors can be individuals or groups of up to 20 people including family members or friends. You can pledge to do as little as 15 minutes a week or more if you prefer.
