Coronavirus: updates, advice and guidance
The Environmental Information Regulations work in a similar way to the Freedom of Information Act, creating a general right of access to environmental information held by the Council.
Environmental Information includes information on air, soil, land, flora, fauna, diversity, genetically modified organisms, information on emissions and discharges, noise, energy, radiation, waste, the food chain and human health. The definition also includes the use of land for building so requests for information concerning planning matters will be dealt with under the Environmental Information Regulations.
The Council publishes an Annual Monitoring Report showing performance against planning targets and also an annual report on Air Quality in Colchester.
For full details of the Freedom of Information Act and the Environmental Information Regulations, how a request is dealt with and related information please visit http://www.ico.org.uk .
