Pay your Business Rates

View your bill, sign up for e-billing, make a payment or set up a Direct Debit online.

Set up a Direct Debit

We recommend setting up a Direct Debit for your Business Rates account for ease of payment and peace of mind. You will need your Business Rates account number which is located at the top of your bill.

Alternatively, you can download a Direct Debit instruction. Once completed, this should be returned to business.rates@colchester.gov.uk.

Make a payment online

You can pay your Business Rates online using a debit or credit card 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You will need your Business Rates account number which is located at the top of your bill.

With every payment please quote your Business Rates account number which is located at the top of your bill.

We also advise that you send evidence of remittance to financial.services@colchester.gov.uk with any payment made.

Pay by phone

You can make a payment using our automated payments line by calling 01206 282 725. You will need your Business Rates account number (beginning with a ‘6’) and your debit or credit card details.

Alternatively, you can pay by phone by calling the Business Rates team on 01206 282 300 and choosing option 2.
