The Shared Strategic Local Plan for North Essex includes proposals for three cross boundary Garden Communities.
The development of these communities is proposed to begin within the local plan period 2017-2033.
The Council is committed to producing a separate development plan document on each of the garden communities. An issues and options consultation that ran for 12 weeks closed on the 2nd of February 2018. The next stage will be for the commentary to be analysed and fed into preferred options documents that is envisaged to be consulted upon in the summer of 2018.
