If you're elderly, disabled or have a long-term health condition, you may be eligible for help to adapt your home. If you are a homeowner/leaseholder we may be able to provide a loan to help you repair your property.

You can apply for a Discretionary Disabled Facilities Assistance for adaptations if you have an owner’s interest in a property where an occupant is registered (or is registerable) as disabled.
Discretionary Disabled Facilities Assistance (DFA) is available to help eligible applicants pay for the cost of adapting their home to meet the needs of a disabled person that are not covered by the mandatory Disabled Facilities Grant.

Discretionary Home Repair Loans are available to homeowners and leaseholders to repair and maintain your property to eliminate or reduce risks in the home to an acceptable level.
Repairs could include reducing cold hazards by replacing windows and doors, replacing boilers, improving insulation, making roof repairs and preventing damp and mould issues that have an effect on your health.
