Change of use permission to turn pubs and restaurants into takeaways
Following the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, the Government announced temporary measures to grant permission for pubs and restaurants to operate as takeaways.
In addition, the Government has included off licences and shops selling alcohol, including those within breweries, within the list of businesses that can remain open. Those premises which currently hold a licence allowing off sales can offer takeaway or delivery services.
The priority remains to help provide food for people in self-isolation, as well as helping businesses remain active.
