Notice of election of Councillor for the Parish of West Mersea Town Council

1. Nomination papers must be delivered to the Returning Officer, Town Hall, High Street, Colchester CO1 1PJ on any working day, Monday to Friday, from Thursday 24 October between 10am and 4pm, but no later than 4pm on Friday 01 November 2024.
2. Nomination papers may be obtained from the offices of the Returning Officer, Town Hall, High Street, Colchester CO1 1PJ, during the times stated above. Nomination forms are also available online
3. If any election is contested the poll will take place on Thursday 28 November 2024.
4. Applications to register to vote must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by midnight on Tuesday 12 November. Register to vote online
5. Applications, amendments or cancellations of postal votes and amendments or cancellations of proxy votes must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by 5pm on Wednesday 13 November. More information about voting by post is available online
6. Applications for a Voter Authority Certificate or an Anonymous Elector’s Document valid for this election must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by 5pm on Wednesday 20 November. Applications for a Voter Authority Certificate or an Anonymous Elector’s Document can be made online
7. Applications to vote by proxy at this election must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by 5pm on Wednesday 20 November.
8. Applications to vote by emergency proxy at this election must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by 5pm on Thursday 28 November.
9. Paper applications can be submitted by either:
   • post to Rowan House, 33 Sheepen Road, Colchester CO3 3WG, or
   • by hand to Colchester Town Hall, High Street, Colchester CO1 1PJ, or
   • by email to elections@colchester.gov.uk
