Councillor vacancies

Notice is hereby given under Section 87(2) of the Local Government Act 1972 that casual vacancy exists in the office of Councillor for Marks Tey Parish Council, as Martin Smith has resigned.

An election to fill the vacancy will be held if request in writing for such an election is made by ten electors registered within the electoral area and received by the Proper Office of Colchester City Council, by no later than Thursday 23 April 2026. Otherwise, Marks Tey Parish Council will fill the vacancy by co-option.
