Councillor vacancies

Notice of casual vacancies the office of parish councillor for Wivenhoe Town Council. 

Notice is hereby given under Section 87(2) of the Local Government Act 1972 that Megan Maltby and Christopher Blomeley have ceased to be members and casual vacancies exist in the office of Councillors for Wivenhoe Town Council. 

An election to fill the vacancies will be held if request in writing for such an election is made by ten electors registered within the electoral area and received by the Proper Office of Colchester City Council, by no later than Thursday 12 March 2026. Otherwise, Wivenhoe Town Council will fill the vacancies by co-option.
