Notice of referendum Great Tey

Referendum Information

A referendum will be held on Thursday, 19th September 2024 to decide on the question below:

'Do you want Colchester City Council to use the Neighbourhood Plan for Great Tey to help it decide planning applications in the neighbourhood area?'

1. Applications to register to vote must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by 12 midnight on Tuesday 3rd September 2024. Applications can be made online.

2. Applications, amendments or cancellations of postal votes and amendments or cancellations of proxy votes must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by 5 pm on Wednesday 4th September 2024. Further information about voting by post.

3. Applications for a Voter Authority Certificate or an Anonymous Elector’s Document valid for this election must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by 5 pm on Wednesday 11th September 2024. Applications can be made online.

4. Applications to vote by proxy at this election must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by 5 pm on Wednesday 11th September 2024.

5. Applications to vote by emergency proxy at this election must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by 5 pm on Thursday 19th September 2024.

Applications to register to vote, applications for an absent vote, applying for Voter Authority Certificates or Anonymous Elector's Documents can be submitted:

• By post to Rowan House, 33 Sheepen Road, Colchester CO3 3WG.
• By hand delivery to Colchester Town Hall, High Street, Colchester CO1 1PJ.
• Via email to elections@colchester.gov.uk
