Notice of election Highwoods

Election of Councillors for the Wards listed below.

1. Nomination papers must be delivered by hand to the Returning Officer, Town Hall, High Street, Colchester CO1 1PJ on any day from this notice, on Mondays to Fridays between 9.30 a.m. and 4.30 p.m. (excluding bank holidays) but no later than 4 pm on Friday, 11th November 2022.
2. Forms for nomination may be obtained during the times stated above from the Returning Officer, at the address stated above. Nomination forms are also available on the Electoral Commissions website.
3. If the election is contested the poll will take place on Thursday, 8th December 2022.
4. New applications to register to vote must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by 12 midnight on Tuesday 22 November 2022.
5. Applications, amendments or cancellations of postal votes and amendments or cancellations of proxy votes must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by 5 pm on Wednesday, 23rd November 2022.
6. New applications to vote by proxy at this election must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by 5 pm on Wednesday, 30th November 2022.
7. Applications to vote by proxy at this election applied for on grounds of either physical incapacity or absence in relation to occupation, employment or service occurring after 5 pm on Wednesday, 30th November 2022 must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by 5 pm on Thursday, 8th December 2022.
