How to appeal your requirement to pay Council Tax

If you want to appeal your requirement to pay Council Tax, you must first write to us so that we can have a look at your case.

If you have applied for Local Council Tax Support and do not agree with our decision, you can ask us to look at it again. You can also appeal within one month of us making a decision but you must appeal in writing.

If you are still not happy with the outcome, you can take your case to an independent tribunal by writing to us.

Remember that if you choose to appeal you must continue to pay Council Tax until your appeal is complete.
