Essex to move to high COVID alert level

The government has confirmed that Essex will move to the Tier 2 high COVID alert level from midnight on Friday 16 October.


Test and Trace Support Payment

The Government has announced measures to support people from 28 September who have a loss in income due to being asked by NHS Test and Trace to self-isolate.


Essex Leaders and MPs request move to ‘High level’

To combat the sharp increase of coronavirus cases before it puts strain on our hospitals and economy, Essex leaders have asked that the county to be placed into the new ‘High level’ banding of COVID-19 restrictions.
