Anti-social behaviour

If you are experiencing anti-social behaviour (ASB), you can report online to Colchester Council or contact Essex Police:

The Community Trigger (also known as ASB Case Review) is a victim’s opportunity to be heard – a new tool to help victims who have reported anti-social behaviour. The ASB Case Review is a measure designed to give victims the ability to demand action by requesting a review of their ASB case.  The aim is to bring agencies together to take a more joined up problem solving approach to find a solution for the victim.

The Essex Restorative and Mediation Service

In some situations, we may suggest you think about using The Essex Restorative and Mediation Service. This service is free and enables those harmed by anti-social behaviour, conflict or even a criminal offence, to have facilitated communication with the person responsible in a safe way.

It gives victims, communities and families a chance to tell the person responsible how they feel about what has happened, ask for outcomes that will help them move forward and get answers to their questions.

It can be effective in showing the responsible person the real impact their actions have on other people.

Both sides must agree for contact to take place. It is a voluntary process to find a positive way forward.

You may refer yourself to this organisation, or we can do it for you.
