Refugee, Asylum seeker and Migrant Action

Refugee, Asylum seeker and Migrant Action supports people seeking to make a new life in this country. We help those who have just arrived and those who have been here a long time. We do not differentiate based on government-assigned labels, we help people who need support regardless of their status.

While this support is predominantly aimed at those from other countries, we also help British partners and dependents of migrants. We help people get basic financial support and a roof over their heads; provide advice and guidance on the asylum process; assist with school applications, doctors’ visits, transport, job applications, English lessons, and sourcing furniture.

We put people in touch with local befrienders and run sessions in computing, crafts, gardening and many other activities. We run a food bank stocked with foods people will recognise, and we have extensive links with other local services. Our aim is to enable people to build safe and productive lives in our community.
