Business waste bag collections

Business waste bags provide a versatile method of waste collection for businesses.

Our bags are popular among businesses that produce smaller quantities of non-recyclable waste and recyclable material. They are particularly suitable for business premises where the location prevents bins from being collected or where space is a premium.

For growing and larger businesses, bags can offer additional capacity on top of any bins to ensure your waste disposal requirements are always met.

The Government’s new Simpler Recycling requirements mean businesses must separate paper and card, plastic, glass, metals (cans, tins, aerosols and foil), and food waste from non-recyclable waste. To support businesses to meet these requirements we will offer enhanced recycling collection options from 3 February.

From Monday 3 February, the existing clear business trade bags can be used to individually present the following waste streams:

  • paper and card,
  • plastics, and,

Each bag must only contain one of the above waste streams and be presented for collection by 06:00 on scheduled day of collection.

Glass will continue to be collected in a contracted container, either a 360l or 240l wheeled bin or a 55l recycling box (City Centre Collection only) to best suit your need.

Tins, cans and aerosol collections will be introduced using a contracted container, either a 360l or 240l wheeled bin or a 55l recycling box (City Centre Collection only) to best suit your need.

Food waste can be collected on a weekly contracted basis in a 180l wheeled bin.
