This year has been challenging for our Council, with rising costs, growing demands, and a significant budget gap to address now and in the future.

Devolution and Local Government Reorganisation will add pressure but also bring new challenges and opportunities. Still, we remain committed to supporting those most in need, including those facing homelessness.

At the same time, we stay ambitious - investing in our city’s future, securing millions in private and Government funding for regeneration and restoration. Helping projects like Jumbo. And working to improve quality of life for everyone who lives, works, or visits our great city.
