Annual Governance Statements

The council is required to produce an Annual Governance Statement which gives an outline of its governance controls and identifies any improvements to the governance arrangements that need to be implemented. This is included in the Annual Statement of Accounts.

The Governance Committee considers the Annual Governance Statement, for the previous financial year, in June and a further report is provided in December each year that details the progress that has been made in implementing the governance improvements.
