Apply for an exemption for a larger recycling bin
Colchester's standard 240 litre Recycling Bin is suitable for around 97% of all residents based on our early deployment data.
If you feel your recycling bin is not big enough for the recycling your household produces, and are recycling correctly squashing plastic bottles, tins and cans, putting mixed recycling in loose and collapsing and putting large cardboard boxes next to your bin you can apply for an exemption using this form.
All applications will be reviewed and an officer will visit your address to check your recycling as part of determining the outcome
