Race Equality Scheme

| "Including You", the Council's Race Equality Scheme, is our response to the new duties placed on us by the Race Relations Amendment Act 2000. We think that it is important that we are able to respond to the needs of all people in our community. We aim to provide excellent examples of good practice in developing policies, working with our communities and service delivery that can be followed by other organisations working in the Borough. We are keen to take a lead in the community in: -
- dealing with racial discrimination
- promoting equal opportunities
In the leaflet below you will find:
- a summary of the actions we are going to take to achieve these objectives
- how we will consult on these actions (see below)
- details of how we plan to monitor the actions proposed
