Council spending over £500

The Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government, Eric Pickles, wrote to local authorities in June 2010 stating that they would be required to disclose items of spending over £500, including tenders and contracts, from 1st January 2011.

This includes the date, amount, supplier name and category of spend as a minimum. However, the Council will remove any information that is exempt under Data Protection requirements.

Data is published monthly in a csv format.

The Council uses the Efinancials financial system provided by ABS Solutions Ltd and bases its accounts on the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA) Best Value Accounting Code of Practice (BVACoP) service reporting.
