On 16 May 2007,. Councillor Ray Gamble was elected Mayor of Colchester for 2007/08 municipal year and will share his year in office with his wife, Jenny, who takes on the role of Mayoress

Cllr Ray Gamble and his wife Jenny have lived in North East Colchester for over thirty years, where they brought up their children Kerry and Nick.
