Colchester's Cultural Quarter - Development Competition

Date Published: 9 February 2007

Colchester's Cultural Quarter Development CompetitionColchester is a vibrant town with an exciting future: where 2000 years of history sit alongside 21 century culture. The town has a thriving local economy, a growing population, increasing visitor numbers and a wealth of amenities to offer. Whilst Colchester is the oldest recorded town in the country it is a place receptive to new ideas and challenges and with four major regeneration schemes underway across the borough things are starting to happen!

With a £16.5m visual arts and cultural building currently under construction in the town centre, we are now looking for a development partner to help us create Colchester's cultural hub - a place where people can shop, socialise, be entertained, work and live.

The Colchester Cultural Quarter development competition has now closed. We would like to thank you for your interest in this project.

Its a green week
