Over the next 15 years the Borough will need to meet ambitious housing growth targets, help create new jobs, deal with the impact of climate change, and improve "green" transportation.

 

These challenges, and others, are being addressed in Colchester Borough Council's Local Development Framework (LDF).  The key part of the LDF is the Core Strategy which sets out how the Council would prefer to meet these challenges.  We are continually consulting upon this process to ensure it is truly community led.  Many people replied to earlier surveys, including that which was undertaken in December 2006.  These comments have helped us to amend the Preferred Options and the consultation document revises selected chapters of the original Preferred Options document.

 

This consultation will run from 21 May 2007 until 9 July 2007.
