Date issued: 7 December 2017

Families can join in an uplifting and festive Christmas memorial carol service in the Colchester Crematorium Chapel, on Thursday 14th December, from 2pm.

The informal and friendly service will be led by Reverend Father Richard Tillbrook, the Vicar of Old Heath, and will include readings and traditional carols. Stephen Evans will play the organ and singer Graham Long will give solo performances. Councillor Beverley Oxford will also be reading an entertaining poem.

Following the service, visitors will be offered refreshments kindly provided by the Starlight Tea Room, including delicious mince pies and hot drinks.

Councillor Beverley Oxford, Portfolio Holder for Customers, said: "The Memorial Carol Service has become a very well-attended annual event. In recent years, the service has provided a source of both comfort and pleasure to all who have attended. It provides a lovely start to the festive season and all are very welcome to attend."
