Macmillan Welfare Benefits Service

No one should face Cancer Alone

By 2020, it is estimated that nearly 1 in 2 of us will experience Cancer during our lifetime (Macmillan State of the Nation Report for April 2014)

Macmillan Cancer Support is working together with us to provide the Macmillan Welfare Benefits Service for the North East, Mid and South of Essex.

4 out of 5 people are worse off after a Cancer diagnosis. They may experience difficulties with employment, paying household bills or claiming benefits.

We provide a free and impartial specialist Welfare Benefits service for Cancer patients who live in the catchment area. The team can identify eligibility for Benefits, assist with completing forms and provide support to challenge unfavourable benefit decisions. Our service is an enabling service, delivered primarily over the telephone.
